Overview

Jen assists sophisticated clients with complex financing transactions for renewable energy projects.

Jen’s long-term plan was always the practice of law, a field she loves for the intellectual analysis required. However, she knew she wanted to serve her country first, pursuing a career in the Navy after attending the United States Naval Academy. Her active duty service included leading engineering work onboard the USS Jackson (LCS 6), experience that provides technical background for her work with energy projects. Jen also earned a master’s degree in environmental law and policy during her time in the military, giving her a solid foundation for the focus of her later legal practice.

Today, Jen represents clients in the structuring of financing for utility-scale renewable energy projects. She negotiates and drafts financing and credit agreements, power purchase agreements and equity capital contribution agreements, and she also assists with project development. Her experience includes international as well as domestic sites.

With a longstanding passion for environmental and climate science, Jen is excited to use her legal knowledge to build a better world for the future. She also values the opportunity to continue to serve through her work: Jen views law as a service, just as her original military career was. Her time in the Navy continues to shape her as a professional, leaving her focused, disciplined and purpose driven. Clients value Jen’s diligence, enthusiasm for their work and dedication to their projects.
