Emily focuses on private wealth and estate planning, supporting informed decisions to protect their assets and plan for their families’ futures.
Emily was drawn to law by the problem-solving it demanded, along with a desire to guide people through the complex legal system. While interning at a local commercial bank during college, she enjoyed learning the stories behind area businesses, including how they were built from the ground up. That experience sparked her desire to build a career combining legal training with her business and finance background.
Private Wealth appealed to Emily because it combines those interests with the opportunity to build lasting client relationships. During a law school externship with a wealth management firm, she saw firsthand how estate plans fit within a client’s broader financial picture, sharpening her interest in the field. A second externship with a global company’s legal team showed her how legal advice supports the objectives of organizations of all sizes.
As a two-time summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Emily worked across a range of practice areas, building a broad legal foundation. Emily assisted with drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, giving her early, practical exposure to estate planning documents and confirming her interest in Private Wealth.
Known for taking a personal and detail-oriented approach to each matter, Emily works to understand a client’s unique goals before recommending solutions. Clients can expect a thoughtful, approachable attorney who is genuinely invested in their needs.
