Liz helps clients navigate complex legal and policy issues in the health industry.
After working for five years in cancer and traumatic brain injury research, Liz decided to pursue a law degree in order to have a broader impact outside of the lab. She hoped to address health and science challenges through policy and regulation.
Health law naturally stood out early in her legal studies, both in the classroom and through research assistant work, confirming a strong interest in the regulatory side of the healthcare industry. Liz enjoys working with federal regulations, privacy laws, and new healthcare delivery models, such as value-based care.
Relevant experience includes a summer associate position at Husch Blackwell, where Liz supported the healthcare regulatory team on a variety of matters. This included drafting demand letters, reviewing contracts, and contributing to risk analyses for clients. She also served in an advocacy role for veterans through the VA, allowing her to combine her medical knowledge with her legal and communication skills.
Known as personable, clear, and effective in communication, Liz breaks down complicated legal concepts for clients. Clients can expect thoughtful analysis, practical solutions, and a focus on meeting their goals in a fast-changing regulatory environment.
