Serving as both an attorney at Husch Blackwell and a lobbyist for Husch Blackwell Strategies, Liz supports the firm’s healthcare and administrative clients.
In her legal practice, she focuses on procurement, administrative law, regulatory compliance, licensing and credentialing issues, often representing licensees with complaints before regulatory boards and frequently working with individual healthcare providers. As a lobbyist, Liz advocates for diverse business and non-profit organizations with state legislatures and government agencies.
Liz began her career with work on political campaigns, developing a passion for public service and for underserved populations. While in law school, she participated in a health law clinic and also represented prisoners with healthcare access claims—experiences that showed her that healthcare was an ideal place to serve and to pursue government relations work.
After earning her J.D., Liz accepted a position in a New York state senator’s office and went on to serve as a staff attorney to the Arizona House of Representatives for five years. The front row seat to the legislative process gave her great insight into policymaking and the inner workings of state governments, as well as an in-depth understanding of agency rulemaking and internal politics.
Liz is known for her in-depth understanding of state government affairs, her passion for healthcare policy and her empathy for clients’ challenges. She has also built a reputation for extensive pro bono work and community involvement, regularly representing those who cannot afford legal counsel.
