Overview

Elisa focuses on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, helping clients navigate complex rules in the healthcare industry.

After several years as a research epidemiologist, Elisa decided to attend law school. She was naturally drawn to healthcare law because of her longstanding interest in the healthcare space, as well as a background in biology and public health. Elisa enjoys working on regulatory issues that require both legal knowledge and an understanding of the healthcare environment.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, Elisa worked at two major hospitals, coordinating clinical and epidemiological research. This experience provided insight into hospital operations and taught her effective communication with healthcare professionals.

As a law student, Elisa gained valuable experience through internships with three federal judges in the Western District of Texas, where she worked on a variety of motions and developed strong research and writing skills. Participation in moot court competitions also sharpened her advocacy and brief-writing abilities. As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Elisa worked primarily on healthcare projects, conducting research and drafting communications for clients.

Clients find Elisa approachable and easy to communicate with. She is known for attention to detail, thorough research, and a practical approach to problem-solving in healthcare regulatory matters.
