Deb focuses on all facets of business, finance and real estate transactions.

Deb assists clients and attorneys with the buying and selling of commercial real estate and with commercial financing (both lender and borrower sides), as well as with the development and redevelopment of commercial and mixed-use projects. She has extensive experience working with developers and lenders on complex financing structures involving:

  • New markets tax credits (NMTC)
  • Historic tax credits (HTC)
  • Low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC)
  • Tax increment financing (TIF)
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) transactions

Deb also works closely with the firm’s Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, assisting in complex real estate and title issues. Deb is licensed to issue title insurance in Wisconsin.

  • Served on legal team that assisted owner of multiple assisted living facilities in complex refinance involving multiple entity structures and tiers of financing.
  • Served on legal team that assisted several national banking institutions in drafting, negotiating and closing numerous construction, mortgage, asset-based and equipment loans.
  • Assisting attorneys and clients in preparing and closing real estate transactions nationwide including commercial, industrial, condominium and vacant land.
  • Assisting with complex transactional financing structures, including multiple levels of equity and debt.
  • Reviewing and analyzing all aspects of management, transactional due diligence, and closing and funding of single and multisite commercial and industrial real estate transactions throughout the United States.
  • Researching, reviewing, analyzing, negotiating and approving title insurance commitments, policies and specialized endorsements.
  • Drafting purchase agreements, corporate documents and closing documents related to sales, acquisitions and financing transactions.
  • Reviewing American Land Title Association (ALTA)/American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) surveys, certified survey maps, and condominium and subdivision plats.
  • Conducting due diligence investigations, including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)/Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) searches and summaries, drafting memoranda, and preparing all organizational consents and certificates.

Deb enjoys spending time with her family and friends outdoors, hiking and biking.
