Overview

Brenden focuses on corporate law, assisting clients with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions.

Inspired by his family’s legal background, Brenden was drawn to law for its competitive nature and the opportunity to bring out the best in himself and others. As a student, he served in UMKC’s Entrepreneurial and Legal Services Clinic, where he supported local entrepreneurs balancing their day jobs with their passion projects. This experience deepened his appreciation for the sacrifices and dedication involved in entrepreneurship.

Brenden also gained valuable insights into innovative approaches and strategies while interning in-house with a nonprofit, and as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, he conducted research supporting corporate transactions. He also had the opportunity to review a corporation’s organizational documents, giving him a comprehensive view of the corporate lifecycle.

Brenden was attracted to Corporate, M&A, and Securities law because of its significance to society and the challenge it presents. He enjoys the complexity of reducing large transactions into legally binding agreements and the continuous learning that comes with it, and he focuses much of his practice on transactional documents.

Known for his personable and easygoing nature, Brenden has a knack for making the law accessible to clients, ensuring they understand every aspect of their case. His dedication to his work and his ability to connect with clients make him a valuable addition to any team.

Outside the Office

Brenden’s biggest hobby is music: most of his travel is based on attending concerts, his fashion choices follow after what his favorite artists wear, and he likes to exercise because it’s an opportunity to develop playlists.

When he’s not listening to music, Brenden spends most of his free time playing dominos and card games with friends or checking out different restaurants. (His current top Kansas City recommendation is Fox and Pearl.)
