Issues in Higher Education Webinar Series

On July 3, 2018, the Department of Justice and Department of Education withdrew Obama-administration guidance to educational institutions on the extent to which schools may consider race as a factor in achieving diversity. The Departments’ actions may signal a shift toward discouraging the use of race-conscious programs to achieve diversity and could impact how private and public institutions structure their admissions practices.
In this webinar, Husch Blackwell partners John Borkowski and Derek Teeter will provide their immediate impressions of what the withdrawal means and the steps institutions should take in the coming months.
