In this 18 minute on-demand webinar, Husch Blackwell attorney David Stauss provides an overview of the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA). The UCPA passed the Utah legislature on March 3, 2022. Subject to the Governor’s approval of the bill, Utah will become the fourth state to enact consumer privacy legislation, following in the footsteps of California, Colorado, and Virginia.

David provides an analysis of the UCPA, including discussing its applicability and exemptions, the rights it will provide to Utah residents, its requirements regarding sensitive data, privacy policies and data processing agreements, and its enforcement provisions. David also compares the UCPA to existing state laws in California, Colorado and Virginia.
