The Sedona Conference is a 501(c)(3) research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy. Its mission is to advance the law in a reasoned and just way. An active think tank of professionals (jurists, outside counsel, in-house counsel, government attorneys, academics, consultants and experts), The Sedona Conference regularly publishes commentaries on “tipping point” topics with the goal of providing nonpartisan guidance to the bench and bar. This Commentary is a project of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1). Sedona Commentaries are considered the go-to resource for guidance on legal issues regarding eDiscovery and are regularly cited by the federal judiciary.

Husch Blackwell partner Tessa Jacob served as Co-Editor-in-Chief on this two-year project.
