On April 14, partner Aaron Schepler will present a Preemption Update at the Trucking Industry Defense Association's Cargo Skills Seminar in North Carolina. Aaron's session will address the state of FAAAA preemption in the federal courts, including a discussion of the Montgomery v. Caribe Transport case presently before the Supreme Court of the United States, as well as the conflicting federal and state court decisions which have led to the present situation.
This discussion will include commentary on preemption as it applies to cargo claims as well as to casualty claims.
