Christopher Peterson will present "Energy Independence for Healthcare Systems (Board of Trustee Track)" at the Wisconsin Rural Health Conference presented by the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
This presentation will address current trends in health systems’ adoption of renewable energy practices to improve energy independence and security, reduce carbon emissions, and control energy costs and availability. It will focus on renewable energy forms, including solar electricity and renewable natural gas, the basics of procuring those energy forms through long-term / fixed-price contracts, and energy-related benefits available to hospitals developing their own energy facilities through the Inflation Reduction Act.
