Speaking Engagements

Julie Miceli and Lisa Parker will present "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion... A Framework for Campus Cultural Sensitivity," at the National Conference on Allied Health Education on Thursday, March 10, 2022, in New Orleans, LA.

In this session, Husch Blackwell attorneys will review approaches to providing education while building a climate for cultural sensitivity in students and staff. Our individual and collective experiences in this moment help frame our response to diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education. Topics include: the power of empathy, assessment of climate and culture, the role of communications, the power of curriculum and instruction in campus DEI outcomes, and the role of staff, faculty and leadership in DEI efforts.
