This program will review contract essentials for licensed architects and the common mistakes in drafting and performance.
Learning Objectives
- Examine the essential terms for an Agreement including scope of services, schedule and price for providing the services and ownership of the work product.
- Explain how changes and/or additional services are priced and memorialized.
- Discuss limitations of liability clauses.
- Identify best practices to limit claims during performance by providing timely progress reports, notice of changes and charges for additional services, and notice of errors.
- Understand best practices for project site observations and accepting or rejecting work.
