Emily Lyons will present "California Prop 65 101: What the Dairy Industry Needs to Know" for the International Dairy Foods Association's Regulatory RoundUP on July 27, 2021.

As federal and state agencies evaluate how to regulate chemicals in food, California’s Prop 65 warning and disclosure law continues to pose legal risks to the dairy and larger food and beverage industry. In this session, Emily will discuss the basics of Prop 65, how it’s enforced and best practices for reducing a company’s litigation exposure. In addition, practical guidance will be provided on the implications on the testing of products for Prop 65 listed chemicals as well as suppliers’ ingredients and satisfying customers’ requests for warranties of compliance.
