Joy Gaslevic served as a panelist addressing "Benefits, Challenges, and Approaches for Sharing Information about Case Outcomes with Departmental Communities" at the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM)'s Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education on June 16, 2021.

Joy's panel addressed the legal perspective regarding case information sharing in connection with sexual harassment matters. The session explored the legal and ethical considerations around making findings from a sexual harassment investigation transparent.

NASEM's Action Collaborative brings together leaders from academic and research institutions and key stakeholders to work toward and share targeted, collective action on addressing and preventing sexual harassment across all disciplines and among all people in higher education. The Action Collaborative creates an active space where colleges, universities, and other research and training institutions move beyond basic legal compliance to evidence-based policies and practices for addressing and preventing all forms of sexual harassment and promoting a campus climate of civility and respect.
