New Advanced Title IX Investigator and Coordinator Workshops

January 19 - 20, 2017
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Seminars

In light of heightened awareness, shifting guidance, multiplying state laws and a rise in investigations, institutions of higher education must train their Title IX professionals to effectively investigate and resolve alleged incidents of sex and gender discrimination, sexual harassment and interpersonal violence. You and your institution have laid the groundwork with policies, programs and general training on compliance with Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and the Clery Act.

We invite your Title IX investigators and coordinators to join Husch Blackwell''s Higher Education team for full-day courses that go beyond the basics to include enhanced learning formats and nuanced information to build depth of understanding. The Advanced Title IX Investigator Workshop digs into the practical skills needed to conduct effective sexual misconduct investigations. The Advanced Coordinator Workshop focuses on the challenges and issues involved in investigation, resolution and remediation of sexual misconduct on (and off) campus.

The workshops are taught by experienced higher education attorneys who focus on sexual misconduct investigations and compliance guidance under Title IX, VAWA, the Clery Act, and evolving state law and expectations. The courses will include traditional presentations, new videos and interactive sessions with up-to-date information on responding to sexual misconduct in a manner that ensures fairness, accuracy and compliance.
