Today, federal crop insurance is a part of the Farm Bill. For many years, Professor Art Barnaby of Kansas State University’s Department of Agricultural Economics has been involved in policy and implementation discussions relating to the Farm Bill and federal crop insurance. Please join us in welcoming Professor Barnaby to Husch Blackwell’s Kansas City office where he will present a seminar on the history, policy and opportunities relating to federal crop insurance for farmers and those who support them.
Crop insurance can generate cash flows for farmers. At the conclusion of Professor Barnaby’s presentation, Husch Blackwell Partner Scott Thompson will address the actions creditors can take to best position themselves to have rights in those cash flows.
