Financial Services Partner Ken Kingma Speaks at ACTEC’s Fall Meeting

Speaking Engagements

Husch Blackwell Partner Ken Kingma co-presents at the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s Fall Meeting on “Legal Migrants: Clients Who Move Between Community Property and Common Law States.” An ACTEC Fellow, Kingma spoke primarily about what married couples in common law states can do when moving to or buying property in a community property state, and vice versa. He provided three real-world examples: a couple moving from Texas to Missouri; a couple in Nebraska who purchased real estate in Washington; and a couple who moved from New York to Belgium.

See Kingma’s PowerPoint presentation for more detailed information on this topic.
