Definition of “Public Works”: “Public works” means all fixed works constructed for public use or benefit or paid for wholly or in part out of public funds.  It does not include any work done for or by any drainage or levee district.

Categories of Construction Covered: All labor on public works projects.

Source of Funds: All public-funded work over $75,000 needs to abide by prevailing wage law (even if just a part of the project is public-funded).
