Maurice Watson participates in an upcoming Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute event titled “Strength in Numbers: Celebrating African American Representation in the Law.”

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that partner and former Chairman Maurice Watson will participate in an upcoming Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute event titled “Strength in Numbers: Celebrating African American Representation in the Law.”

Watson will serve as a panelist during a program segment discussing “the ways law schools, law firms, and legal ecosystem participants can help bolster” the ranks of black lawyers. The program, titled “Invisible (Wo)men: Bolstering the Black Lawyer Pipeline,” will also feature NALP Foundation Senior Vice President Jeremy Bloom, Emory University School of Law professor James B. Hughes, Jr., and University of Georgia School of Law Associate Director of Admissions and Diversity Programs Jenna Jackson. Samuel M. Matchett of King & Spaulding LLP will serve as moderator.

Watson served as chairman of Husch Blackwell from 2012 to 2018.

The panel will commence at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at The Woodruff Arts Center Memorial Arts Building, 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia.
