Steve Levine is recognized as a Top Lawyer in Marijuana Law by 5280 Magazine.

For the third consecutive year, Husch Blackwell partner Steve Levine was recognized by 5280 magazine as a top lawyer in the area of Marijuana Law.

A member of the firm’s Food and Agribusiness group, Levine has represented clients in the cannabis industry since 2010 on matters ranging from corporate law, financing and real estate transactions to state and federal regulations pertaining to medical and recreational use of cannabis.

In 2017 the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) elected Levine to its NCIA Policy Council, a body comprised of industry leaders selected by NCIA’s Board of Directors and that plays a critical role in the development of cannabis policy at the federal level, including the areas of tax policy, the classification of cannabis, advertising and marketing, and the broad range of regulatory issues that will arise at the federal level in the coming years due to nationwide efforts toward marijuana legalization.

Levine writes and speaks frequently on legal matters affecting participants in the cannabis industry, including medical and retail centers, medical and retail cultivations, manufacturers of infused products, testing facilities, marijuana technology companies, industrial hemp farms and processors, landlords, private equity funds, credit unions and security companies. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for the past three years in the area of corporate law.
