National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Washington, DC-based partner Richard Bonnifield has been named to the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers guide.

Bonnifield represents utilities, renewable energy developers and independent power producers before FERC in obtaining the approvals and regulatory mechanisms necessary for their businesses. Bonnifield routinely assists clients in obtaining market-based rate authority, exempt wholesale generator status, and qualifying facility status, and he also handles applications for transactions that fall under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act.

The Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers list recognizes U.S. attorneys excelling in oil and gas, electricity, mining, and nuclear power, as well as water, wind, solar, and alternative energy technologies. The substance of these lawyers’ practices ranges from energy regulation to corporate transactions, including M&A and finance; from litigation dockets predominantly focused on oil and gas or other energy matters, to infrastructure development supporting the global power grid.
