Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that associate Aleksandra O. Rushing has been nominated as an Associate Member in The Theodore McMillian Inns of Court.
Rushing has an active litigation practice representing clients in the K-12 education, higher education, and healthcare industries. She has first-chair federal jury trial, first-chair state court bench trial experience, as well as first-chair appellate court experience. Rushing also has extensive experience in trial and appellate preparation, including managing the day-to-day litigation, developing defense strategies and good company stories, managing discovery, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, and deposing fact witnesses and experts. She also devotes significant time to her pro bono practice, representing low-income families in St. Louis, victims of domestic violence, and indigent clients who have a variety of legal issues in state and federal court.
Before joining Husch Blackwell, Rushing worked at the U.S. Department of Education, Office of the General Counsel in Washington, D.C. and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in Den Haag, Netherlands. She obtained her J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2015.
Rushing joins fellow Husch Blackwell colleague Steven E. Holtshouser as a member of The Theodore McMillian Inns of Court. A partner in the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation group, Holtshouser is a Master member.
