Husch Blackwell’s Grasz Confirmed to Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals

Husch Blackwell senior counsel Steve Grasz was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals on December 12 after being nominated to the post in August by President Donald Trump.

The Omaha-based Grasz is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction industry group. His practice is focused on business litigation, governmental affairs, governmental ethics and election law, and appellate litigation. He has litigated matters before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Nebraska Supreme Court, as well as before the Eighth Circuit, where he has handled a number of high-profile appeals, including a Commerce Clause challenge to a state constitutional amendment and a precedent-setting en banc appeal in a First Amendment case.

Grasz graduated cum laude from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1989 and holds a B.S. from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he graduated cum laude from the Agriculture Honors Program. Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Grasz served for nearly 12 years as Nebraska’s Chief Deputy Attorney General.
