Husch Blackwell and the City of Chattanooga sponsored the first Chattanooga Leadership and Law Academy October 10-11, 2016.  The Academy gave 20 local minority high school (10th-12th grade) students interested in pursuing a legal career the opportunity to learn more about the field of law during their fall break. The students interacted with various judges and participated in a mock mediation, a mock trial, field trips to the courthouse, and talking with local attorneys employed in various areas of the law. Ariel Anthony, Husch Blackwell associate, and Wade Hinton with the City of Chattanooga organized the Academy and hope to make it a yearly event.
