Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that the firm has signed a long-term lease agreement to take space at Wells Fargo Center, a 57-story office building in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The firm will relocate its current office at the IDS Center once the buildout is completed this summer.

“When we opened our current Minneapolis office in May 2023, we saw the Twin Cities as a key market to further serve our clients,” said Jamie Lawless, Husch Blackwell’s Chief Executive. “The move to the Wells Fargo Center not only confirms our commitment to our clients and the city but also provides us the ability to continue to grow and enhance our service offerings.”

Husch Blackwell has committed to taking on more than 25,000 square feet of space in the Wells Fargo Center, an increase of its current Minneapolis office footprint by approximately 16 percent.

“Our new Wells Fargo Center office incorporates design principles from our other locations to foster collaboration and maximize space efficiency while also providing ample space to support colleagues who reside in our virtual office, The Link, or are traveling to the Twin Cities,” said Rob Kukuljan, Husch Blackwell’s Minneapolis Office Managing Partner. “The workspace offers more natural light for employees, updated technology, ergonomic furniture, and tailored offices for attorneys and business professionals to engage with one another and with our valued clients.”

Located at the corner of South 7th Street and South Marquette Avenue, the Wells Fargo Center was completed in 1988 and redefined the Minneapolis skyline. It has won numerous awards including the Urban Land Institute Award for Excellence for Large-Scale Office Development in 1989, Energy Star in 1999 through present, Certified LEED® Gold EB in 2010 and Recertified LEED Gold VC in 2014, 2018 and 2022, BOMA 360 Performance Building in 2021 and WELL Building Standard in 2022.

Husch Blackwell is excited to partner with Mission Construction, Partners by Design, Stantec, and Colliers on the project. Partners by Design has won numerous awards for prior Husch Blackwell office build outs, including Kansas City and St. Louis. Other tenants in the building include Wells Fargo Bank, Colliers, and Spencer Stuart.
