Husch Blackwell Represents Green Plains in Acquisition of Ethanol Plants

Husch Blackwell represented Green Plains Inc. in a $237 million acquisition of three ethanol plants from Abengoa Bioenergy. The previously announced transaction closed today and will add 236 million gallons of ethanol production capacity per year. Green Plains is the second-largest consolidated owner of ethanol production facilities in the world, with 17 dry mill plants and an annual production capacity of nearly 1.5 billion gallons.
