Husch Blackwell welcomes Associate Daniel C. Willingham to the firm’s St. Louis, Mo., office. He joins the Banking & Finance group from the venture capital firm Advantage Capital Partners, where he was a tax attorney (2012-2013).

While at Advantage Capital Partners, Willingham planned tax-favored structures of venture capital deals, consulted with portfolio companies on tax-free and tax-deferred reorganizations of corporations and LLCs, and advised investors on New Markets, Historic Preservation and Research and Development tax credits. He also monitored state tax law changes that impacted a national bank for which Advantage Capital Partners provides legislative consulting services. 

Willingham received his LL.M. in Taxation from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis (2012) and his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia (2011). He received his B.A., with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia (2007).

Husch Blackwell's Banking & Finance practice focuses on the lending and regulatory activities of regional and national commercial lenders, retail banks, life insurance companies, CMBS conduit lenders, credit unions, savings associations and other financial institutions.
