Husch Blackwell increased its ranking 10 spots to No. 81 in the 2023 Am Law 100 list, which was published on April 18.
The American Lawyer hosted a webinar coinciding with the release of the list to discuss trends and insights from the data it compiled from the top 100 revenue grossing firms. Husch Blackwell was featured prominently in a segment kicked off by The American Lawyer Editor-in-Chief Gina Passarella, who placed Husch Blackwell among “firms that deserve a shoutout.”
Jae Um, Founder & Executive Director of Six Parsecs, said Husch Blackwell is one of four firms that is doing growth in a healthy way.
“Husch Blackwell really crushed it this year in making production more efficient,” Um said.
Later in the webinar, Um said Husch Blackwell’s success stems from its place in the market where the client focus on value has pushed the firm to experiment with innovation. She added the firm has “solid muscles, really solid experience in service-model innovation in really bringing new thinking to the practice and business of law.”
“I think their performance this year and throughout the pandemic does show that experimentation is paying off and those muscles are helping,” Um said.
