Husch Blackwell has appointed Katharine D. (Kate) David as managing partner of its Houston office.

“I am delighted to announce Kate’s appointment as office managing partner,” said Husch Blackwell Chief Executive Paul Eberle. “She is a rising star in the Houston legal community and will be an outstanding leader for our firm as we grow our presence in Houston.”

David joined Husch Blackwell in early April as part the firm’s 14-attorney expansion in Texas. A partner in the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction group, she is a highly regarded litigator with experience in high-stakes, complex public law matters, including condemnation, election law, public contracting and constitutional tort disputes. She is a fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation and a member of the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas. She also holds the Commission of the Yellow Rose of Texas, which recognizes Texas women who have demonstrated exceptional volunteer and community service.

David will continue to represent her clients while serving as Office Managing Partner. “I am honored to serve the firm in this new role and am grateful for the opportunity to build upon Husch Blackwell’s profile and involvement in Houston,” David said.
