On March 31, 2015, GridLiance GP, LLC and Blackstone Energy Partners announced the formation of a new electric transmission company, GridLiance, the nation’s first competitive transmission company poised to develop, own and operate transmission infrastructure and partner with U.S. municipal, cooperative and joint action agency utilities.

Attorneys within Husch Blackwell’s Energy & Natural Resources team served as GridLiance’s primary outside counsel in structuring this collaboration. The team was led by Partner Brennan Tucker and also included Partners Kyle Barry, John Crossley, Marvin Griff, Chris Reeder and Associate Bert Seefeldt.
