National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that The American Lawyer has named HB In-House a finalist for Best Professional Development Initiative in its annual Industry Awards.
Entering its second year, HB In-House is a first-of-its-kind professional development program that prepares the firm’s attorneys for future in-house legal roles while enhancing service to clients.
“We’re grateful to The American Lawyer for recognizing this transformative program,” said Joe Glynias, Husch Blackwell’s Chair and architect of the HB In-House program. “HB In-House was designed to not only further develop the careers of attorneys, but also help our attorneys better understand in-house roles and the challenges that our clients face daily. We extend our sincere gratitude to our clients for their valuable time and insights in shaping the program as well as serving as members of the curriculum faculty.”
This year, HB In-House participants will spend approximately 30 hours spread across three and a half months gaining a unique understanding of in-house legal roles. This year’s cohort is comprised of 26 Husch Blackwell attorneys, including 10 partners, two senior counsel, five senior associates, eight associates, and one former Husch Blackwell attorney who is now in-house.
The first year of HB In-House resulted in at least three Husch Blackwell attorneys moving to in-house roles, including companies such as Energizer, Leidos, and UL Solutions.
This year’s honorees will be recognized at The American Lawyer’s annual gala on Nov. 13 in New York City. A full list of finalists can be found here.
