National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Kansas City-based Partner Beau Jackson has been appointed to the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission by Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab. His term is effective February 2024.

Jackson leads Husch Blackwell’s Section 337 practice and counsels clients on a wide range of international business issues. He is a member of the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing and Transportation industry group. Jackson serves on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, and he manages many relationships with Kansas-based clients. Jackson is a member of the 2021 class of Leadership Kansas and, that same year, was named to Ingram’s 40 Under Forty in Kansas City.

The Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission is charged with administering, interpreting and enforcing the Campaign Finance Act and laws relating to conflict of interests, financial disclosure and the regulation of lobbying. These laws establish the public’s right to information about the financial affairs of Kansas’ public officials, lobbyists, and candidates for office. In addition, the Commission renders advisory opinions and can adopt rules and regulations covering local government officials and employees.
