Husch Blackwell Sanders' Virginia L. Fry was awarded the Distinguished Attorney Award by the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA) at their annual Law Day luncheon on May 7.The Distinguished Attorney Award is the top honor given by the SMBA and is awarded annually to an SMBA member whose practice is considered to maintain the highest of legal and ethical standards.
Fry is a Co-Managing Partner in the firm's Springfield, Missouri, office and is a member of the firm's Partner Board. Fry handles fiduciary and employment litigation, frequently defending management in wrongful discharge, harassment, discrimination and related state and federal employment claims. She also advises education clients with respect to the federal and state laws that regulate their operation.
