David Agee Among 20 Southwest Missouri Men Selected

Husch Blackwell Partner David C. Agee was named to the inaugural Springfield Business Journal "Men of the Year" class. An independent group of judges chose the 20 southwest Missouri men for their professional and civic accomplishments. The men will be honored in a special Springfield Business Journal publication and at an awards luncheon on Sept. 16.

A member of the firm's Corporate Department, Agee works in the firm's Springfield, Missouri, office and chairs the Aviation practice group. An experienced corporate law attorney, he devotes a significant portion of his practice to representing entities in both commercial airline and business aviation law and other industry-related business and legal matters. Agee's Aviation team recently served as outside counsel for a commercial airline in connection with the largest new aircraft order in history, consisting of 460 firm and 475 option aircraft. In addition to Aviation, Agee is also a member of the firm's Mergers & AcquisitionsCommercial Contracting and International practice groups. He manages transactions for local, national and international clients, including those in the hospitality industry. Agee also routinely represents southwest Missouri area entrepreneurs and start-ups in developing, organizing and financing their entities and concepts.

Agee previously served as Chairman of the Greater Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and has volunteered on many other civic and charity boards and committees, including service as President of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks, Vice-Chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri, Chair of the Greater Ozarks Chapter Red Cross' "Red"iness Capital Campaign, and member of the Board of Directors of the Springfield Business Development Corporation. He currently Chairs the City of Springfield's Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ozark Empire Fair, a member of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce's Local Issues Task Force, a member of the Springfield Southeast Rotary Club, and a member of various other professional associations.

Husch Blackwell's Aviation practice group provides transactional and regulatory counsel; prosecution and defense of aircraft accident and product cases; intellectual property identification, protection, management and enforcement; as well as risk management, aviation hull and liability insurance, war risk insurance and emergency planning and response.
