Husch Blackwell Sanders has been named "Pro Bono Firm of the Year" by Legal Aid of East Tennessee (LAET). The award will be presented Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Pro Bono Night 2010.

LAET's mission is to provide equal access to civil justice for all citizens regardless of their income. Pro Bono Night is presented by the Pro Bono Committee of the Chattanooga Bar Association and LAET. During this event, members of the local judiciary present awards to local attorneys as well as the Firm of the Year Award. The evening also serves as a fundraiser for LAET's Pro Bono Project.

The Pro Bono Firm of the Year Award is being given to Husch Blackwell Sanders for its commitment to representing clients in pro bono cases, and for supporting the local efforts and pro bono initiatives of LAET, such as their Legal Aid Saturday program. In addition, Husch Blackwell Sanders' attorney Joseph C. Simpson is on LAET's Board of Directors.
