Husch Blackwell Sanders Welsh & Katz is pleased to announce that Christopher J. DeLise joins the firm’s Chicago, Illinois office as a Partner in the Business Services division where he will concentrate his practice in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions.
DeLise previously held the position of Senior Counsel at Holland & Knight LLP in Chicago, in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Investment Funds groups. As lead attorney, he represented private investment funds and public and private companies engaging in strategic transactions and public companies with respect to securities offerings, SEC filings, corporate governance and disclosure matters, and mergers and acquisitions and financing activities. Prior to this, he practiced law at various firms, as well as public and private companies in Chicago.
DeLise was named to the "2008 BTI Transactional/M&A All-Star Team" in recognition of providing outstanding service to Fortune 1000 clients. He was one of only 86 attorneys in the U.S., three associates nationally and ten attorneys in Chicago, to be honored.
DeLise earned his LL.M. in Corporate, Securities and Financial Services law, with honors (1999) and his J.D. (1998) from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He earned his M.B.A. from Boston University (1991) and his B.S.B.A. in Finance from Bryant College (1989).
