8 years after substantial completion.
Exception:
If the injury occurred during the 7th or 8th year after substantial completion, tort action to recover damages for such an injury or wrongful death may be brought within 2 years after the date on which injury occurred, irrespective of the date of death, but not more than 10 years after the substantial completion of construction of such an improvement.
