Situation
As part of the City of Milwaukee Downtown Redevelopment Plan, the iconic 55,000-square-foot Mackie Building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was in great need of rehabilitation. A real estate development and investment firm purchased the six-story property with plans for major renovations.
Result
Our team structured the complex $14 million deal, which included 10 separate sources of financing, including federal and state historic tax credits, a loan from Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation and PACE financing.
