Situation
Defended a large chemical manufacturer in a toxic exposure case. While working at a power generation facility, plaintiff developed medical issues that led to her hospitalization. Testing revealed the presence of chemicals that were contaminated with compounds classified as “probable carcinogens.” Plaintiff’s experts opined that plaintiff sustained damage to virtually every organ system in her body, is permanently disabled, would require medical monitoring for the rest of her life and that she would likely contract cancer as a result of her exposure.

The jury unanimously returned a defense verdict for client.
