What is your advice for a new hire?

Be a sponge. Ask questions and soak up all the knowledge you possibly can. We have so many resources available to us today; don’t be afraid to use them. Be open and willing to take on new projects to expand your skillset and increase your exposure. Always reach out and offer to help others.   

How does Husch Blackwell encourage your potential and professional development?

I have been fortunate to work for really strong leaders over the years who not only recognized my potential but helped me to see it as well. Their willingness to share valuable information, include me in meaningful projects to encourage my professional growth and exposure, and to simply give me a chance, made all the difference. Husch Blackwell also supports my membership in professional organizations and my commitment to continued education. Thanks to Husch Blackwell’s support, I am able to keep my certifications current and stay up to date with industry trends in order to best serve the firm.

How has Husch Blackwell supported you in achieving work/life balance?

I have an amazingly supportive team who have become like family over the years. I am blessed to have the trust, flexibility and support I need to balance being a wife and mother with a career I love.
