President Obama’s recently-announced executive actions on immigration have the potential to change the landscape of immigration for the higher education community, specifically for students and faculty. Join us for an overview of immigration issues tied to non-citizen faculty and employees at U.S. colleges and universities.

  • The first part of this hour-long webinar will address intricacies of immigration law related to recruiting and maintaining foreign national faculty, including sponsorship for temporary work authorization and the special rules for faculty permanent residency sponsorship.
  • The second part of the webinar will explore challenging issues for international student offices regarding foreign national students.
  • The webinar will conclude with a discussion of the newly implemented and proposed changes to immigration law and how those changes may affect institutions of higher education, their faculty and students.
