Student Radio Station Named After Husch Blackwell's Sidney Katz

The Illinois Institute of Technology recently dedicated their student radio facility to Husch Blackwell Partner and IIT alumnus A. Sidney Katz. The newly named A. Sidney Katz Radio Studio honors Katz' contribution to the school's station, WIIT 88.9-FM. Katz graduated from IIT with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1962 and while there, he hosted a student radio program.

A member of the firm's Partner Board, Katz is the Chicago Office Managing Partner and Chair of the firm's Intellectual Property group. In addition to his support of WIIT, he sits on the Intellectual Property Advisory Board for The George Washington University Law School, on the International Board of Governors for Hebrew University and is an Advisory Board member of The IP Litigator. He focuses his legal practice primarily on client counseling, licensing and litigation concerning all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyrights.
