Springfield Business Journal published its second annual Cornerstone Casework issue, and the work of Husch Blackwell’s Aviation team was among the most notable transactions of the last 12 months showcased. Husch Blackwell served as the sole advisor to American Airlines on the engine selection for 130 Airbus aircraft. David Agee, Springfield Partner and Chair of the firm’s Aviation practice group, led the team of attorneys including Partners Ralph “Buddy” Killebrew and Brennan Tucker and Associates Kate Haynes, Nick Hendon, Rebecca Taylor and Amanda Tummons. Husch Blackwell also played an important role in the earlier negotiations to order 460 firm aircraft and 465 option aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, American Airlines’ deal announced in July 2011 that constituted the largest aircraft order in history.
