Scott Sifton Elected to Missouri House of Representatives

Husch Blackwell Partner Scott Sifton was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives on November 2, 2010. He will represent the 96th State House District, which is located in South St. Louis County. Sifton begins his two-year term in Jefferson City on January 5, 2011.

Sifton joined Husch Blackwell in 1999, after earning his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He received his bachelor's degree from Truman State University, cum laude, in 1996. In his capacity at Husch Blackwell, Sifton has focused his practice on business and financial services litigation, including securities, banking and commercial insurance. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal court.

Active in the community, Sifton served on the Affton Board of Education from 2001 to 2010; from 2007 to 2009, he was Board President. He also participated in the Leadership St. Louis program for 2005-2006. Sifton served on the Board of Directors with the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri from 2006 to 2006 and served as vice chair of the Missouri Bar Association's Legislative Committee.
