Husch Blackwell Sanders received the Equal Justice Award from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri on Thursday, June 4, 2009.
Each year, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri hosts a "For The Common Good" reception, recognizing those in the legal community that have supported their mission by providing "high quality civil legal assistance and equal access to justice for low-income people in Eastern Missouri".
The Equal Justice Award was one of ten awards given out at the ceremony, of which Husch Blackwell Sanders was the sole recipient. The award is presented annually to "those who have shown exceptional commitment and have contributed to the programs of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri in a significant way." Husch Blackwell Sanders currently funds attorney work for those facing domestic violence issues in St. Charles County.
St. Louis Office Managing Partner Carrie Hermeling accepted the award on Husch Blackwell Sanders' behalf.
