A Husch Blackwell Wind Energy team led by Jim Goettsch represented Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in its $115 million acquisition of the remaining 40 percent managing interest in three wind energy facilities from Gamesa Wind US, LLC. The same team represented Algonquin in its 2012 acquisition of an initial controlling interest in the 400-megawatt portfolio, located in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas. Algonquin owns and operates a diversified $3.5 billion portfolio of regulated and non-regulated utilities in North America.
