Kevin Zeller Joins Kansas City Office

Husch Blackwell recently hired Kevin Zeller to join the firm's Kansas City, Mo., office as an Associate in the Banking & Finance group.

Zeller previously worked for two Kansas City-based law firms (2006-2011), where, in addition to other financial matters, he drafted and negotiated financing, security and commercial lease documents, represented an international commodity brokerage firm and worked on several large business acquisitions and divestitures. He drafted multi-million-dollar securitized commercial loan documents, maintaining a database regarding deals in excess of $100 million. Zeller also regularly counseled small and mid-size businesses on general matters and transactions, and represented investors in early-stage companies.

Zeller received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law (2006), during which time his team placed third in the University's Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – New Venture Challenge Competition, a business plan contest. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame (2003).

Husch Blackwell's Banking & Finance practice focuses on the lending and regulatory activities of regional and national commercial lenders, retail banks, life insurance companies, CMBS conduit lenders, credit unions, savings associations and other financial institutions. Attorneys represent both commercial lenders and borrowers and understand the requirements and approaches of both secured and credit debt financing. The practice also focuses on the regulatory compliance of financial institutions.
