Chris Rockers Named Secretary of the ACCFL

Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP Partner Christopher J. Rockers has been elected Secretary of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. Rockers took office in April and will serve as Secretary for the 2008-2009 year.

Rockers’ practice primarily focuses on finance transactions. He represents various types of lenders, banks and finance companies. He is listed in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Banking Law and Equipment Finance Law. In 2007, Rockers was voted a Missouri & Kansas “Super Lawyer®” in Business/Corporate law.

Rockers received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984. He is an American Bar Association member and is currently a member of the Council and a past chair of the Commercial Finance Committee of the Business Law Section of the ABA.

Founded in 1991, the ACCFL promotes the importance of commercial financial law to the public. This organization recognizes attorneys for superior writing and presentations. The ACCFL is made up of practicing lawyers, jurists and academics that are licensed to practice law in the United States, Canada or Mexico. Members must also be in good standing with the highest courts in their Bar membership jurisdiction.
